There are still places left for the latest GNAT Pro InSight webinar taking place next Tuesday (June 17). This one will feature GNATbench 2.1.0. This release introduces many new features including project management and presentation enhancements, language-sensitive editor enhancements, additional wizards, builder enhancements, and source code navigation enhancements. This webinar will describe and demo some of the new features introduced in 2.1.0. As always, we will allow a question and answer session at the end enabling you to talk directly with the designers of GNATbench.

[Eclipse] Better handling of errors in import wizard

When performing an import GNAT project, a first project parsing is done on file selection. If the file contains errors, they are directly mentioned in the wizard and the Finish button is grayed.

[Eclipse] Storage of scenario variables in workspace

Scenario variables values set by the user are now stored in the workspace variables rather than the .gb_project file.

All user-hidden packages have been moved into the *.internal.* packages. The API outside of these packages will be frozen after each release and can be used to build plugins on top of GNATbench.

[Eclipse] New GNAT Project Explorer

The Ada Project Explorer has been rewritten into a new view, the GNAT Project Explorer, which now shows Eclipse resources in addition to GNAT project information. New nodes have been created, displaying source and object directories with special icons. A new node also represents the associated GNAT run-time library source files, making it easy to browse those files as well. As a result, the Eclipse Navigator is no longer essential.
